RE: Prodigy controller and engine braking

You can also fine tune the Prodigy with the wheel for the perfect feel.

RE: Tire pressure dropped to 70lbs, will tires be ok?

Good Deal, I was worred I ruined the new tires.
What do you guys use to fill your tires? My compressor just isnt doing it. I got them to 80 pounds now but thats about it.
I was hoping to use something inexpensive so I could fill them at home, I have no idea besides a truck stop where I can fill them to at least 100 lbs.
I didnt want to drive it with only 70 lbs in them.
As someone tried to ask, what are the max pressures and max load capacity for the tires? They should only be inflated to max pressure if they are loaded to max capacity. Which most people would never do.

RE: tankless water heater

Just a quick thing because I cant stand seeing people butcher Econ.
Higher demand = Higher Price holding supply constant.
RV stuff is more expensive because it's real house stuff that's had more money invested to shrink it down and as noted toughen up for RV use and they don't sell as many, so they must recoup investment more per unit. But you can't make 1,000 of a piece of******no one wants and charge a lot because no one wants it.

RE: Switching to Synthetic oil?

Some also say that switching to a synth so late will cause leaks because dino oil tends to cake in leaky areas and then the synth cleans them out.
I may be corrected if I'm wrong which is fine but from my recent online reading there isn't a real full synth on store shelves, not sure about Redline or the other high end ones (Amsoil) but I've heard that even M1 is a synthetic blend anymore.

RE: Tuning DirectTv dish signal?????

Not my issue but a buddy had problems if the box he used traveled too far between uses. He's from North Carolina and when he came up to Indiana it wouldn't work at all.

RE: My Thoughts on Storing WDH Head at Campsite

I'm with the lock the ball into the coupler. Even putting it in a storage compartment won't do much as there's a 30% chance they have the key. If they want something bad enough they'll find a way. Locally a guy's trailer got stolen while locked to the truck with two modified Mule's (ATV Truck things) in the trailer. They unbolted the hitch from the frame, I guess bolted to theirs and drove off.

RE: Flow master

Small increase in highway power and mpg in my 5.3L Tahoe. I have a Flowmaster 50 series. It's nice rumble without the drone. Mine's just a stock replacement. I have a Flowmaster 40 on my dakota and it's dang loud.

RE: electric cable service entrance

This panel is not behind the converter. The converter is in back of trailer...this panel is just underneath the front of the trailer. As soon as the wires go under the front wall...they go into this panel...
They're all different. My plug goes in the street side. Inverter/Converter is on the curb side under the fridge.

RE: EU2000i with 15K AC question

Just a quick question as it's related. I had a similar issue with mine at the Brickyard this year but mine did throw both overload lights. Do I ever run EcoThrottle while the AC is running or is it just a no-no. I think on mine it's because the fridge kicked on at exactly the same time. I restarted everything and had to put the AC on Auto and after a few minutes it kicked on itself and all was good. I'm new to the 2K's and am trying to keep them running great.

RE: Towing a lightweight 5th Wheel with a Dodge 1500 4.7L

What you can tow and what you should are two different things. I know a guy that towed 16,000# with a Dakota, it survived.

RE: Any Known Pioneer Problems?

Had my 17T4 for a few years and LOVE it. Little issue hear and there but a good camper and it has all the good stuff I need in a camper. I'm going to have a hard time getting rid of this thing as I boondock at races pretty often and this 50 gallon tank is great.
And I have to do the window thing too in the door, my window slides down a bit.

RE: Why I can't use stabilizer jacks to level TT???

I bent the frame on mine. Not the big part, but if you have scissor jacks like mine they aren't even centered on the frame. I bent the horizontal part on the bottom of the I-beam. The way the jack was bolted up it made the I an L. I was a total newb. That was 18 months ago, ALONE I can level mine side to side in 10 minutes getting in and out. It's not too hard. The first time I had my camper out I actually got the wheels off the ground with the jack, not smart.

RE: Happy with 08 6.7 mpg

Wait till it breaks in. My bro was on a trip with a guy who has a mega cab and empty he gets 22 or so now. I think he's in the teens towing a loaded trailer with DJ equipment.

RE: Dodge - Which is the fancier package SLT or Laramie?

It's the mileage, if you're putting it in as you posed 15K on the mileage will be quite a bit off the value.

RE: Towing ball lubrication - Yes or No ?

I got some spray grease stuff, WD-40 type stuff. Just shot some up into the coupler after it's hitched up. Wipe it off when done, just started this as after 3 90 minute or less (one way) trips there is a strip of chrome on the top half that's gone now.

RE: How differently will it tow.

did a quick check, found a newer 25' Fifth, advertised as 1/2 towable. 6,700# Dry. That's not too shabby. It's probably at the top end of it's towing capacity but depends on which V8 and what type of truck it is (RC, Crew, etc)

RE: How differently will it tow.

You weight police need to calm down. Did you just read 5er and not note it's a 25' Fifth wheel? That's almost guaranteed to be a 1/2 ton towable 5th. I've get to see a super lux 25'. My uncle has a great time towing a 25' TT with his Tahoe. I'm behind you guys a lot of the time but leave the guy alone or answer his question.
On my note, having a TT myself and having a friend with a 36' 5er I think that properly setup under normal conditions they are very similar and would both work out great. 5ers would seem to be better and better the longer the Trailer is. Look at the other factors like what you like. 5ers do seem to be less of a headache to hook-up unhook as well.

I back mine up all the time and have it turned TIGHT with no problems.
Also, always unhook the friction anti-sway.
